Prior to this Maryanne was the EH HealthSMART Clinical Systems Support Pharmacist, a role which evolved from her work on the EH HealthSMART Project Team as a subject matter expert. This role involved membership of, and chairing, the Department of Health Statewide Medications Review Group, a group responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the medication content of the Victorian Department of Health’s HealthSMART Clinical System. Maryanne is a member of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists Electronic Medication Management Leadership Committee.

He is a key supporter of the GS1 organisation, contributing to RFID standardisation as a former Working Group Chairman at EPC Global.

Mark served in the Defence Force for 22 years, rising to the rank of Warrant Officer Class One. He went on a one-month resettlement work experience at Wodonga TAFE, and left 5 years later after getting deeply embedded in a project to develop interactive multimedia training for the automotive industry. Mark also got to follow his passion of motorsports, when he led the project to develop the motorsport training package for Australia.
More recently, Mark has led a project at Border Express to improve the level of freight scanning capability with the introduction of new scanning hardware, software and processes, incorporating GS1 standards.
